Avoid contact with water as well as hygiene products (soap, hydroalcoholic gel, creams, perfumes, etc.). A more acidic skin pH can also contribute to jewelry damage. It is not recommended to swim, bathe, exercise or sleep with your gold plated jewelry on. As with silver jewelry, store it away from direct light.
Silver naturally oxidizes and darkens over time. You can use a polishing cloth to restore shine to your jewelry. You can also use Clay Stone (also called Silver Stone or White Stone) to clean your silver jewelry.
I only use natural pearls for all of Fontennoy's jewelry. Please note that freshwater pearls are fragile and can be damaged by contact with water and hygiene products (soap, perfume, hydroalcoholic gel, creams, etc.).
