These festivities take place at the end of June, coinciding with the summer solstice. They involve lighting large bonfires, kept burning until dawn, and accompanied by frenzied dances.

During this pastoral and agricultural festival, the bonfire represents the solar star, which ensures abundant har- vests and wards off evil spirits.
At dawn, once the fire is extinguished, some people collect cooled charcoal fragments to use as protective talismans.

Gold plating refers to a piece of jewellery made from a brass base coated with a layer of gold at least 3 microns thick, applied by electroplating. All Fontennoy rings are plated with a 5-micron layer of 23-carat gold.
Like any surface finish, gold plating requires special care to preserve its shine over time. We recommend removing your jewellery before washing, exercising, or using household cleaning or cosmetic products.
This finish will soon be removed from the website in favour of vermeil.
Vermeil is a precious metal made from a 925 silver base coated with a layer of gold at least 5 microns thick, applied by electroplating.
Like any surface finish, vermeil requires special care to preserve its shine over time. We recommend removing your jewellery before washing, exercising, or using household cleaning or cosmetic products.
The plating work is entrusted to an expert based in the Doubs region, who ensures that the process incorporates up to 70% recycled gold.
All vermeil pieces are plated with a 5-micron layer of 23-carat gold over a recycled 925 silver base and stamped with a small V.
I only use natural pearls for all Fontennoy jewellery. I recommend always removing your jewellery before showering, swimming, or exercising, to avoid damaging the pearls.
